In Poznan there are organized the following cyclic events: in April - Polish Contemporary Music Festival - Poznan's Musical Spring; in May - Classical Bowling World Championship, International Festival of Children's Film "Ale Kino", International Jazz Festival "Poznań Jazz Fair"; in June - Midsummer Fair, International Theatre Festival "Malta", City Holiday; in July - International Folk Encounters, World Senior Kayaking Championship, Motorboating World Formula 1 Championship; in August - Tennis Polish Open, Contemporary Dance Biennial, International Encounters with Gypsy Culture; in November - International Poetry November; in December - International Equestrian Competition in Steeplechase, Henryk Wieniawski's International Violin Competition (every 5 years).
