The end of the obligatory route! Now we invite you to stroll leisurely while still following the footprints of Poznań Modernism. You can sometimes observe interesting solutions in otherwise ordinary houses, too, as in the one on Ulica Głogowska, close to the intersection with Ulica Hetmańska, where the architect has applied a recommendation of famous Le Corbusier - the building stands on pillars that leave an empty space for a future car traffic or a garden. Strolls like that can also be inspired by the blog: modernistyczny-poznan.blogspot.com filled, with the pictures and the description of the most interesting modernistic buildings in Poznań.
Halls of the Poznań International Fair are an architectural rara avis, usually hidden from the eyes of visitors. It is very easy not to pay attention to them as one enters the PIF area directly from the street. With our guide, however, you will easily spot pavilion 11, designed by Bolesław Szmidt, with its characteristic spire that became a hallmark of the Fair and Poznań. Szmidt also designed a project of pavilion 10, whose facade resembles a widescreen TV set with ventilators at the sides. Pavilion 17 is also an interesting hall: its concave roof supported by poles and elongated, fully gazed walls reminds of some project of famous Oscar Niemeyer.
