Justice Minister takes on role of state prosecutor

Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro on Friday took in the role of state prosecutor, following a Senate approval of the move in late January - thenews.pl.

The appointment comes after the end of the term of former state prosecutor Andrzej Seremet. Prime Minister Beata Szydło said on Thursday that the changes are aimed to restore confidence and trust in the justice system, and give the impression that the state properly fulfills its obligation to take care of security.
