Decision-makers flock to Krynica Economic Forum
Politicians, the heads of major state-owned companies and experts are descending on the southern Polish resort of Krynica-Zdrój for an annual economic forum starting on Tuesday.
Nearly 3,000 visitors from over 50 countries are expected at the three-day event, one of the most important get-togethers of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.
The first day of the forum will see a meeting of the prime ministers of the Visegrad Group countries and Ukraine, and a presentation by Deputy Prime Minister and Development Minister Mateusz Morawiecki of a program aiming to help Polish companies expand internationally.
The forum is in its 26th year. This year a special conference focusing on Poles living abroad will be held for the first time.
