Poles earning more, consumption driving growth
The average gross monthly salary in Poland climbed 3.9 percent year on year in February, the country’s Central Statistical Office has said.
On average, Poles earned PLN 4,137 (USD 1,091, EUR 963) a month, up 0.9 percent on January. The figures were roughly in line with what analysts expected. Experts say rising wages are boosting consumption, the main driver of GDP growth.
