Prime Minister Beata Szydlo calls for economic patriotism
The economy and development are priorities of the Polish government, Prime Minister Beata Szydlo assured while opening the “Time for Economic Patriotism” conference at the National Stadium.
Szydlo stressed that Poland has the potential for faster economic development as well as a well-qualified workforce. She said that until now both factors had been neglected.
The Prime Minister explained that her understanding of economic patriotism included the building of Polish brands, supporting Polish companies and buying Polish products. She added that membership in the European Union does not permit special treatment for Polish companies and products, which does mean that the government’s hands are tied as it can create an environment that is conducive to developing economic potential.
Szydlo explained that one of the effects of the Family 500+ programme will be stronger support for the Polish economy.
