Prime Minister Beata Szydło promises good conditions for Western investors

Prime Minister Beata Szydło declares willingness to invite Western investors on conditions that are good for both them and our country.

Speaking on Polish Radio One, Ms Szydło underscored that while Western companies are very welcome to Poland, the primary task of the government is to safeguard Polish interests. It is necessary to create economic mechanisms that would ensure that investment benefits all.

If Western capital is to create jobs in Poland, these should be permanent positions, earning Polish employees a good living. Companies drawing on Polish technologies should have investment priority. Apart from industrial plants, we should also be home to laboratories where our technological know-how could flourish. Moreover, companies that make profits in Poland must pay their taxes here.

Prime Minister Beata Szydło explained that for the time being her cabinet has to work under the conditions set by the previous government. It takes time and deliberation to change the existing and lay down new regulations. The aim is to achieve faster economic growth that would benefit all the citizens.
